Where to Get a Bus Ride Going to Cavite?

This a guide if you start from Metro Manila. This is all according to my experience. I have a brother who lives in Manggahan Cavite. He would invite me sometimes to visit him.

EDSA. There are a number of air conditioned buses that ply along EDSA.

Taft Avenue. Starting at Lawton, near the Manila City Hall.

Baclaran. But the buses there might already half full or almost filled. So it’s not a good idea if you take a bus from there.

Concert to Feature “Bisayan” Culture

Proud as i am of my cultural roots i will watch a concert featuring “Bisaya” culture on  November 22, 2008 8 p.m. at the CCP Main Theater (Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo). CCP is located in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City, Metro Manila.

The performers are mostly from the Central Philippine region: Leo Valdez, Joey Ayala, and former Bagong Lumad band mate Bayang Barrios, Cesar Montano, Elizabeth Ramsey and daughter Jaya, Verni Varga, the Philippine Madrigal Singers, Rachelle Gerodias, Jose Mari Chan, the Philippine Dance Sports Association, Nonie Buencamino, Raki Vega, Deeda Barretto, Jerry Dadap’s Andres Bonifacio Choir, Ballet Philippines, Modern Ballet Dancers, and Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group.

Expect some Yoyoy Villami’s songs. Guaranteed.

Will post some pictures, if ever i can watch. But will really try my best.

Some practical information that might of help to you. It has always been to me.

  • The area code for Manila is 02. Don’t include the 0 if you are calling from outside the Philippines.
  • The Philippine area code is 63.
  • The common cellular phone prefix numbers of Globe are 0917, 0915. For Smart are 0918, 0919. For Sun Cellular it’s 0922.
  • Payphone from telephone companies are sometimes a frustration, some don’t work. But there are a lot of small shops offering payphone service for 5 pesos each call for 3 minutes.
