Okay this is the first English-Tagalog tutorial on this website. A good way to learn Tagalog or any language is starting at the basic.
Pronunciation (credits to this site):
a – like the u in up and cut (in the majority of English dialects)
e -like the e in end and bed
i – like the i in machine and marine
o – like the o in old and sold
u – like the u in rude and oo in moon
ng – this requires more time to learn. Let’s start with the word “singer”. Then pronounce it like with silent r – “singa”. Next, remove the “si-” just “nga”. Tagalog words like ngipin (teeth) uses it. So it’s “ngi” and “pin”.
This English-Tagalog Tutorials category in Manilablog should be here when the site was launched years ago.
I’m pretty sure this will be helpful especially for the non Tagalog speakers such as foreigners and even Filipinos living outside Manila or Luzon.
Visit this site often, I will post Tagalog tutorials from time to time.
