Mercato Centrale

Mercato Centrale is Italian word for “Central Market”. Mercato Centrale is basically a food bazaar located in Bonifacio Global City Street.

Great tasting food you have not tasted before can found here. Good way to experiment. Bring with you about 150 pesos or even less.

Sadly, it is only open on Saturday and Sundays from 6 A.M. to 2 P.M.

They are on the corner of 30th street and 9th avenue (in front of The Spa at Bonifacio High Street)

In their website:

Inspired by the outdoor markets of Mercato Centrale in Florence and the Boroughs Market in London, Mercato Centrale at Bonifacio Global City is an innovative weekend lifestyle market with unique, great tasting food finds that you won’t find anywhere around the metro! Mercato also has an extensive selection of healthy and organic fruits, vegetables and livestock, all located in a clean, comfortable, well-ventilated and organized setting.

Chowking Branches in Metro Manila

Chowking branches Metro Manila

I’m not really a fan of Chowking. The best Chinese foods are found in Chinatown or in Binondo. Frankly, Chowking’s taste is nowhere near to the best tasting authentic Chinese cuisine.

But when I want a quick, affordable and decent meal whenever I’m out roaming around Metro Manila. For less than 100 pesos, it adds another day of my life.

Chowking is one of the fast food restaurants that first get into my mind and my sight. Thanks to their aggressive advertisement and outlet location.

5th Avenue Pizza in Pasig

I was in my adventurous self again. I went out walking along C. Raymundo in Pasig City to look for a new place to eat. It was just near from where i live though. Then i found an unknown pizza outlet named, 5th Avenue.

I only brought about 130 pesos in my pocket. I thought that amount was enough in this unknown pizza outlet. But when i looked at the prices. Oh, no. Anyway, i chose the food that was below 100 pesos. It was Crispy BBQ Fish Fillet, its a piadinas. Piadinas is an Italian origin flatbread. The appearance is like the Mexican taco. I brought the food home.

When I took my first bite, it was WOW. I really like the taste! The 95 peso price was worth it.

5th Avenue is Filipino owned. It is a New York inspired pizza company, just like the more popular Yellow Cab pizza.

I Like Adobo Republic

Although, i’m not exactly a pork lover, i find it dirty in my opinion. Adobo Republic makes it up for me. The dish i ate from was soo tasty, i think it was the Hot and Spicy pork, cost 120 a meal, albeit no drinks included yet. And to add, i only eat half a cup of rice in my every meal, but i ate it all. It was that good.

And yeah, their customer service is good too. I recommend Adobo Republic!

I was at their Claro M. Recto Avenue branch, just few meters from University of the East.

This is Adobo Republic’s contact information:

The Tea Republic at SM Megamall

To beat the summer is by spending inside air conditioned malls such as SM. I was roaming around, looking for an unconquered place, thus i found the not so crowded coffee corner named The Tea Republic.

They also offer shakes, coffee, pastries, cakes. I ordered a shake, they called it Republique Red Currant.

When my shake was served, there was no tissue. It was a minus in my opinion. So i just continued reading the magazine that i brought. After more than hour, i decided to go home. I was about ten meters away from the Tea Republic when their male attendant ran after me, and asked me, “Sir, nakapagbayad na po ba kayo?”

Finger Lickin’ Good at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. A Bad Experience.

Finger Lickin’ Good at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. A Bad Experience.

Why finger lickin good?

Please read on why…

Last December 1, after our football team won our third match. We went straight to Greenhills Shopping Center to somehow celebrate that victory.

The group decided that we eat at Bacolod Chicken Inasal. Bacolod Chicken is at located at the G-Strip, right in front of Greenhills Shopping Center, in the parking lot.

My team mates and club mates ordered their own meals, and I myself ordered Lumpia, forgot the exact price, but I believe it was less than 100 pesos. I chose lumpia because it was cheaper.

We waited for more than 20 minutes for the meals to arrive in our table, until I heard Continue reading
